HOPE Homes - A 27-Unit Modular Casita Community Made Possible Under New SB4

FONTANA, Calif., April 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- BOXABL, a Las Vegas–based startup revolutionizing the housing industry, has announced an exciting new partnership with Bethel AME Church of Fontana to provide 27 Casita modular homes for the local community. This milestone project is among the first in California to be implemented under the state's groundbreaking Affordable Housing on Faith Lands Act (SB4) — a transformative law designed to expedite the development of affordable housing on land owned by faith-based and nonprofit educational institutions.B4 removes long-standing zoning barriers, allowing churches and religious organizations to develop housing solutions more efficiently on their properties. About the Project

The 27 Casita homes—each a compact 361-square-foot unit—will be located at Bethel AME Church, providing convenient access for residents to church services, programs, and community resources.
